Majorel China’s Changzhou Call Center, designed by Architecture Farm, reimagines the call center workspace as a place of joy, openness, and connection. Covering 2,100 square meters, the office breaks traditional boundaries between work and social spaces, creating an environment where employees are encouraged to interact and thrive.

A Stunning Spiral Staircase Meets Terracotta Beauty
In the grand 9-meter-high reception area, a flowing spiral staircase becomes the centerpiece, symbolizing progress and ambition. Behind and alongside this staircase, terracotta screen blocks form dramatic, curved walls that infuse the space with rhythm and texture. The terracotta blocks, precisely crafted in an M-shaped pattern, bring an architectural terracotta element that balances industrial rawness with natural warmth.

Decorative Clay Lattice with Light & Shadow
These clay jali blocks are more than decorative partitions; they create dynamic light and shadow effects as daylight filters through their geometric openings. This ever-changing interplay adds vitality to the reception and lounge areas, enriching the experience for both visitors and employees. The reddish terracotta tones soften the concrete and steel, producing a welcoming atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the exposed industrial ceiling.

Functional and Beautiful Ventilated Facades
The terracotta screens are not just aesthetic features—they function as ventilated facades inside the office. By allowing airflow and diffusing light, they improve indoor comfort and reduce glare, enhancing the working environment for over 300 employees. These clay lattice walls also divide areas like the reception, interview rooms, and open lounges without creating a sense of confinement, supporting Majorel’s philosophy of open, flexible workspaces.

• Reception Desk: A central island-style desk combines stainless steel and terrazzo, complemented by the warm, decorative clay lattice as a backdrop, making the entrance area visually impressive and comfortable.

• Interview Rooms: Housed in independent “glass boxes,” these rooms feature hand-painted fluid wall art full of vibrant colors, echoing the playful and creative tone of the office.

• Open Offices: Designed for interaction, with bright accents in furniture (pink, green, orange, blue) softening the gray industrial base. Terracotta elements add a sense of warmth and humanity.
